Side-lying position – You and the baby lie on your sides, helpful for night feeding
Lie on your side in a comfortable position on the bed.
Place your baby on their side facing you, tummy to tummy.
Make sure the baby’s nose is level with your nipple.
Support your baby’s back with your arm or a rolled blanket.
Keep the baby’s ear, shoulder, and hip in a straight line.
Gently guide your breast toward the baby’s mouth if needed.
Wait until the baby opens their mouth wide to latch.
Ensure the baby’s chin touches the breast during feeding.
Watch for slow sucking and swallowing sounds.
This position allows relaxed and comfortable feeding during the night.
